Addie and Emmie at 12 Months

Well it happened. Addie and Emmie on May 20th, you both turned ONE!
(you know, because that's how the whole twin thing works)

It's hard to believe how fast it this year has gone, but it's been a pretty amazing year. Crazy? Busy? Of course. But we are so incredibly thankful that the Lord placed you both in our family, and we can't imagine life without you!

Here are a few things about you at 12 months

Addie you weigh 19 pounds 14 ounces and you are 29.5 inches long.

Emmie you are 19 pounds 5 ounces and you are 30 inches long.

(If you are curious both your heads are 17 3/4 inches in diameter.)

You are both wearing 12 month clothes and size 3 shoes.

You are taking two naps a day, but I think we'll go to one soon.

You are both eating table food well and drinking whole milk from sippy cups.
You prefer your brothers cups.

You both like to dance when you hear music.

Addie you started pulling up a couple weeks ago, and Emmie you just started a couple of days ago.

So far you say bye-bye, cheese (lots of pics around here), and night night (nigh nigh).

You both love baths and being outside.

Addie when you don't like your food you lift it up, stretch your arm out, and let it fall to the floor. Not a throw. Just an "I am not eating that" drop.

Emmie you love being in the wagon. You lean over the side and touch the wheel, look around, and wave. You are a fan.

I'm sure you will be toddling around here in no time.
Let the games begin.

Lately

The night we got back from Texas Max made himself comfortable in our bed.

There are so many things going on in this picture. Including the spilled drink on the floor.

 Gearing up for VBS!

Pretty girls ready for church (Emmie left, Addie right)

Max is a big fan of dressing himself these days. And he fancies his church shoes.

Addie has learned how to throw a good tantrum.
Don't worry, no babies were harmed to take this picture.

Every time we get in the car now Ben jumps in the front seat.

Hanging out with some friends having lunch

 The girls were there too...

Emmie girl got into some candy.

 I caught Addie standing up!

Riding in our train for the first time. Emmie was a fan.

 Happy Birthday Sweet Ben!

 Mother's Day with my kiddos

We weren't the biggest family to walk through the gates and visit the zoo that day...

Choo Choo, Ben is Two!

While we were in Texas we celebrated Ben’s birthday with family. He has been really into playing with trains lately, so the “Choo Choo Ben is Two” theme ended up being perfect.

Since he still doesn’t talk just all that much, I wasn’t sure how much he really knew about what it meant to have a birthday party. Well, all my fears disappeared when it was cake time. I have never seen a kid so excited to have the Happy Birthday sung to him. His entire face lit up, and you could tell he was a big fan. It didn't hurt that he got his very own cake. I guess being allergic to eggs has some benefit after all.

It was a great night to spend with family and celebrate our big boy!
