Time Keeps Slipping....

Where has 2016 gone?? Although it still feels like summer, we are almost to November. This is not only a little crazy, but it means I'm about 6 months behind on blogging. What are you going to do?

We had a great summer, full of lots of fun.

We celebrated Memorial Day.

We went to VBS at our church.

The boys finally won the mission money contest, so for the first year Mike didn't get his head shaved, goo poured on him, water guns aimed at him, etc. He was a happy camper!

Mike headed to kids camp, so we headed to Texas.

We celebrated the 4th of July while we were there.

We spent time with family.

We went to the water park.
Ben was most excited to hang out with the Papa instead of getting sprayed in the face all day.

We headed back to Mississippi and spent lots of time outside.

And lots of time staying cool.

Mike and I celebrated 11 years with a trip to the summer movie series at the Orpheum.

Addie got a new  "big girl" bed.

And Emmie did too, of course.

Doing things together is kind of a given. #twinprobs

Then it was time to head back to Texas, because Uncle Zach got married!!
Ring Security and Petal Patrol took their jobs seriously.

The Sibs

Our new Aunt Amy. We have two now...whoo hoo!

And a picture of these four on A and Z's big day. They did SO good, and they even tore up the dance floor all night long. Addie was SOBBING when I made her leave around 10-10:30 with Aunt Amy (the first one...ha!) because it meant she had to quit dancing.

A couple days later we headed home to start getting ready for our new school year...more on that soon!

VBS 2015

Summer has blown by! It's been a busy one for us. There has been lots of traveling, camps, and mission trips. We got rid of pacifiers (all of them!), and now we are working on potty training (just Ben...for now). One of my favorite things about summer is Vacation Bible School, and this year did not disappoint. We all had a blast, and the week ended with the guys in our family getting fancy new haircuts. Every year the boys and girls have a missions offering competition. And every year the girls win...which means Mike loses. He's had pie in his face, his head shaved, water thrown on him. This year they bumped it up a notch with the mohawk. He was a great sport, and everyone at church thought it was hilarious. Our boys thought it was hilarious, and they wanted to match daddy too. The mohawks are long gone now (two months later), but they were fun while they lasted!

 VBS Family Fun Night!

(Ben was a lot happier than he looks...I promise.)

Emmie just acted on what we all felt like doing by Friday!

Sweet Summer Time

Summer around here means there isn't just a ton going on. And I mean that in a "it's still ridiculous around here every day because there are four small children living in my house" kinda way. Since things around here have been...hectic...I leave you with a random group of pictures of our summer comings and goings. So basically, the same post I have done monthly since the girls were born. Whatever works, right??

Because being on top of the table is just more fun (Emmie).

And because a sweater vest makes everything better.

What do you get when you refuse to nap?

A trip to Sam's and a pretzel to share. Score.

All dressed and ready for church (E left).

All dressed and ready for superhero work. Or to eat lobster.

Hanging out eating a cereal bar (Addie).

Hanging out in a movie theater eating whatever we want, because we don't have to share.

A group pic with some cute kiddos (Emmie left).

A group pic with a bunch of ladies doing a bathroom mirror selfie on a church scavenger hunt.
We totally beat the guys. Bad.

Sometimes pictures don't go the way you think they will (Addie).

Sometimes days don't go like you think they will (E on the table).

That one time Ben ate lettuce instead of sugar.

That one time they all ate plastic food together (A left).

Looking grown up in her Strawberry Shortcake shirt (Addie).

Looking for Ben and found him in my closet sitting in a tiny shopping cart.

Cool Addie.

Cool Emmie.

Ben joining in the sunglass fun.

Max joining in the birthday fun (even though his birthday is still weeks away) by declaring it Woody's birthday. Woody got the birthday banner and candles, but Max got the cookies.

Emmie ready for church.

Addie ready for church.

Post nap selfie with mommy.

Max's picture with daddy's face.

Brotherly love.

Sisterly affection...for having her picture taken (Emmie).

Why would you give us fruit leather? Why is it so delicious but so hard to chew? Why does it hate me??? - Addie

Gobble. Gobble. - Emmie
