I have a confession to make. I am EXTREMELY stressed out! Why, you ask? Is it because I am moving very soon and have not started packing? Nope. Is it because my last day of work is tomorrow, and I have to leave the best job EVER? Nope.
Ya'll, fall TV starts very soon, and I have not made my schedule yet. How will I function if I do not make sure that my shows do not overlap and if I do not double check to make sure everything is being appropriately recorded by the DVR?
Sigh. It keeps me up at night really. Am I the only person who does this? Usually, I start by visiting all of the network websites. Frankly, since cable shows have started getting better, it's a little hard to balance it all, but I manage. I make a list of everything I want to continue watching from previous seasons, as well as anything new that looks promising. Then, I make a weekly chart and plug everything in to make sure it's all going to work.
The DVR will record two things at once, but occasionally three things come on at the same time. I promise you I don't watch that much TV, but I guarantee you that if I only watched three shows, they would all come on the exact night and time as each other. So, really, the weekly chart is the most important step. If you mess this up, you'll regret it all the way until sweeps week.
Finally, I look up all the season premiere dates and times of things I watch and write them on my calendar. Then, I just sit back and wait for the fun to start.
Anyways, I am sure you can relate, and now that you have read this you are off to start your show chart. Anyone? Seriously, anyone?

Step Right Up...Get Your Glasses!

I'm not sure if you have seen the commercials, but it's about to be a very 3D week! During the Super Bowl, they are going to show a trailer of Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D. I could probably live without that, but what comes next is so exciting! They are telling people not to "Chuck" their 3D glasses after the Superbowl and to tune into NBC on Monday night. Why you may ask? Because Chuck is going 3D! Mike and I just started watching Chuck this year (2nd season), but we are big fans. It's hilarious. Seriously.
So, being the very serious Chuck watcher that I am, when I saw the commercials saying you could get the glasses at SoBe drink displays, I just had to find them. It has taken me several stores, but today I got them. I actually got 20 pairs, so if you need some let me know. Ha! I wasn't being greedy...we are having our Bible Fellowship class over for the Super Bowl, and I thought I would be a good hostess and get them for everyone.
The moral of this post is: if you are looking for these glasses (because there has to be someone out there as crazy as me) go to Market Street. That's all.

The Olympics

So who knew I would be so addicted to the Olympics?? So far I am pretty sure I have seen every bit of them, even if I was fast-forwarding through it. I definitely think that there is one thing that has taken my Olympic watching to the next level- the DVR. I love it! I can sit down to 12 hours of recorded Olympics and fast-forward through commercials, cheesy commentary, etc. AND, just as a side note, watching the rowing and cycling events is WAY more fun when you can use the remote to make the competitors go ridiculous speeds. Watch, find out who won, move on. Fabulous.
