Sunday Snapshots

After being without Internet or television for most of the past week, I am so excited that everything is working again. I have some cute pictures of the little man to catch up on. I LOVE spring! We can get out more, play more, and do all sorts of fun stuff. Am I the only one whose child does better if we get out and about a little bit during the day? I think he gets bored with me here!

Here are a few pictures from this past Sunday. They crack me up, because it's the first time he was laughing and really acted like he was "posing" for me.

He let me know when he was "all done." Time for church!

Thirty-One Open House

The week before we left, I held my first Thirty-One Open House. Of course, that day it chose to POUR down rain, but my friends were so wonderful to come out and support me. I was nervous, but I ended up having so much fun. My mom (with crutches and a wheelchair after surgery) made most of the food, and my friend Kim came to help, too.

I had a "Mystery Hostess" party. Basically, everyone who came got entries in a drawing and at the end of the night I drew a winner. That winner got to be the hostess for the evening. My friend Misty won, and she ended up with some really great free items...boxes worth. It was a great night hanging out with friends and figuring out what I'm doing. So far, I'm having so much fun!

(Oh, and the 31 Edible Arrangement is from my mom. It cracked me up, but it was so pretty and delicious!)

Rawhide

On our last day in Arizona, we visited "Rawhide." It's a little ol' west town/amusement park outside of Phoenix. They have a steakhouse, gunfights, train rides, stores, and more. It was so hot that we didn't stay long, but it was fun to check out!

Rangers Time!

Over Spring Break, we took a McDonough trip to see our fabulous Texas Rangers at their spring training complex in Surprise, AZ. Now, ya'll. I'm not going to lie. I was super nervous about this trip. Taking an 18-month-old to a hotel and baseball games didn't exactly scream "vacation" to me. And when our flight got cancelled the first day and we ended up on planes and in airports for 12 hours, it wasn't looking pretty. BUT...I have to say that it was SO much fun and Max did so great! I am so happy that we had the chance to go hang out with family and spend some time checking out the guys. (That didn't come out right, but you know what I mean. I hope.)

Here are a few pictures from our days at the ball fields. Max loved hanging out with Aunt Amy and Papa, running around in the grass, and playing. Drinking Aunt Amy's frozen sweet tea may have been the highlight of his trip...maybe his life!

Check out Max trying to photo bomb us

This is where he took his naps. Behind the seats at the game. He was out!

Yes. This happened. My brother made me this to commemorate the occasion, but I didn't buy a new shirt. Baby wipes work wonders.

Family Fotos

Whew! We spent Spring Break soaking up some sun and baseball at the Texas Rangers spring training in Surprise, Arizona. We had a blast, got home Saturday night, and I haven't had a free moment since then. While I catch up, here are a few family pictures my friend DeAnna captured during Max's 18 month shoot!

Go Rangers!
