Maxisms

There is never a dull moment around our house with the Maxster. He constantly keeps me on my toes, and he truly just cracks me up. Back around his second birthday in September, we started noticing his speech and ability to communicate with us really picking up. At first just the very fact that he was talking cracked me up. Now, a few months later, it's what he says that I find so funny everyday!

I try to write them down, but I know I have missed some over the course of the past few months. Here are a few from when he first started talking more. I just want to have them written down somewhere so I can remember.

-When you ask Max what his name is, he says "two." (My sister did that too!)
-A horse says "yee haw"
-Glasses and Sunglasses are "eyes"
-He wants to do everything "too." I do it too, I eat it too, I swing too.
-He got a swing set for his birthday and he would climb up to the top of the slide and say, "'mon mommy, all aboard....choo choo!"
-His favorite expressions are "oh nuts!" "that's so cute" and "awesome."
-When he sees the UPS truck he says, "oh box!"
-Around Halloween he started saying things are "spooky."
-One night I sneezed while his back was to me. He turned around and said, "Hey! Scared me!"
-He can get a little bossy. When he wants to do something he says, "Max's turn. Ben swing now."

And just a few more from the past couple weeks:

Max: Mommy, want chocolate milk.
Me: We don't have any buddy.
Max: Oh. Go get it.

Me: Well we have to get Ben dressed and then we're gonna go to daddy's office.
Max: That works.

Max: I want chocolate milk.
Me: We don't have any.
Max: Oh. Too bad.

Then, one Sunday afternoon at lunch he was throwing a fit so we let him out of his highchair and ignored him. A few minutes later...
Max: (Switching off the tears immediately) I'm better now.
Me: Are you ready to eat?
Max: Yes (a few minutes later). Max was mad. Now I'm happy!
Me: Well good.

Twins!

So I have been completely behind on my blog lately. This is why:

These little guys (or girls) are wearing me out!

Yes...we are having twins (due in June)! To say we were surprised would be a bit of an understatement, but we are so excited!

Now I must go lay on the couch for a second. But I will catch up on my blogging very soon!

Farm Day

While Mimi was here a couple of weeks ago, we took the boys to Cedar Hill Farms. Of course, it had been warm all month, and the day we went it was so cold! We still had a lot of fun, and it was fun to see Max "get it" more this year. I'm sure these two little guys will take the place by storm next year!

Ben was perfectly happy bundled up in the stroller.

When we walked in, Max immediately started picking out pumpkins and putting them in  the basket of the stroller to take home with him...ha!
Still just hanging out...

Max was so fascinated by the animals. He would act like the wanted to feed them, but when he got close with the food he would get nervous and throw it real fast.

There's a smile!

Watching the train...

Mimi and Ben on the train.

Max and Mommy (that's me!) on the train.

The whole time we were on the train he was singing "choo choo" under his breath.

They had a "corn box." He didn't know what to make of it.

He was so infatuated with the pumpkin princess.

Ben was not. We gave up on keeping his boots on for a few pictures!

Why am I sitting on hay?

As good as it was going to get...

We were so impressed that Max actually rode a pony. We thought he may flip, but he loved it!

Picking out his pumpkins.

He may have left with three baby pumpkins, a medium pumpkin, and a gourd. I blame (I mean thank) Mimi.

Ben at 5 Months

Ben, on October 11 you turned 5 months old! Six months is right around the corner...when did that happen? In my mind, you are still so tiny, but you really are turning into a big guy! You are such a sweet, calm (most of the time), chill baby. We love you little guy!

1. You have definitely found your voice, Mr. Screams-a-lot
2. You love your big brother. You want to watch whatever he is doing.
3. You like playing in your exersaucer.
4. You rolled over for the first time on October 15, but you haven't done it again since then. Like I said...you are one chill baby!
5. You are turning into an even bigger drool machine.
6. You wear 3-6 month, 6 month, and 9 month clothes.
7. You are transitioning into size 3 diapers.
8. You have been on antibiotics a lot this past month, but you are handling it like a champ!
9. You take about 3 naps a day, and since you  are feeling better you have gone back to sleeping well at night. For now!
10. You are more fascinated by the world around you when we go out these days.

Split Personality

This is normally one happy little dude.

Until he can't figure out how to get that little dog in his mouth. Then he gets real mad.
Luckily he's getting much better at it!
