Trunk or Treat 2013

Saturday we went to our church's Trunk or Treat, and we had a fabulous time. We dressed up as a family of pirates, and the girls were our parrots. There was a trunk or treat area (obviously), popcorn, cotton candy, popsicles, bounce houses, and a whole lot of fun. I had to convince Max to try the cotton candy (not sure why I was determined to make him eat sugar), but Ben dove right in. They both had a ton of fun, and the girls were content to hang out.

 Ready to go!

 Two cute parrots.

 Excited little boy.

 Tired little boy.
We had to wake everyone up to go, so it took Ben awhile to shake off the sleepy.

This is what happened when I tried to get a picture without the paci.

 They had fun. I promise.

This slide was huge, but max was all about it. I wish I had a picture of him coming down. Even my big picture couldn't catch it, because he flew!

Zoo Boo

We had already spent all morning and some of the afternoon at the pumpkin patch, but after a quick stop at home for a nap, we were off to Zoo Boo at the Memphis Zoo. We had never been before, so we decided to check it out. We had a lot of fun, although it was a little scarier than I anticipated. I am more of a "friendly ghost and pumpkins" kind of girl, so some of the decor and themes were a little out there for me. However, we spent most of our time in the smaller kid's area riding rides, so we did just fine. My mom tried to get me to ride a camel, but I wasn't going without Max and he was having no part of it. Overall it was a really fun night!

The Great Pumpkin {Patch}

I know I've said it before, but I love fall. It has really become my favorite part of the year. One of the things I love about it? All the fun things there are to do with the kiddos! Last weekend we headed out to the farm and pumpkin patch in our area. My mom was in town, so it was a great time to go (extra set of arms!). The older Max gets the more fun it is to go, because he really gets it and has such a fun time. Ben doesn't really "get it," but that doesn't stop him from having a blast too!

Riding the ponies. When he was Ben's age he wanted no part of this, so I love that he enjoys it now.

Emmie just hanging out. It was a cool day, but the weather was fabulous.

Addie. I am kind of obsessed with their pumpkin bows.

Daddy and Mimi riding the train with Max and Ben.
I stayed with the girls, but next year we are all riding.

Serious Ben.

He thought he was big stuff on this fence.

Oh this kid.

On the hayride out to the pumpkin patch.

Um...these pumpkins have dirt on them.

Seriously, someone wash my hand off.

This cracked me up. Ben was obsessed with this tree.

Brotherly love?
I think Max was trying to get Ben to hold still. Gracious.

Sic em Bears!

We're done.

A pint sized hay maze. Ben was a fan.
