In a Pickle

I was on the lookout for shower hostess gifts this month when I remembered a fun gift my mom got recently. It was a "pickle bag" filled with stuff you might need with you if you find yourself in a pickle! So, I got some mini zipper pouches from Thirty-One, filled them up, and created a fun tag to go with them.

The possibilities are endless, but I found myself running out of room. I had to cut back, but I included lip balm, gum, hand sanitizer, wisp toothbrushes, ponytail holders, pain reliever, lotion, etc. It turned out to be an easy, fun, little gift, and I think the hostesses enjoyed it! I think I'll be making some for Max's teachers this year too...

Live it Up!

After our first successful solo trip to Texas, I jumped on a plane to Atlanta for Thirty-One's national conference. It was so much fun! Since I signed up under a girl in Texas, I had never met anyone on my team before. It was a little weird getting there alone and knowing I was staying in a hotel with people I'd never met, but I knew they would be great. And they were!

I had no idea when I started about 6 months ago, but I just love this company. I am having a blast with it, and I really enjoy it. My favorite part about the weekend was seeing all the new fall products. I am pretty sure I need them all. Did I mention that this is pretty much  the perfect job for me??

Summer Debut

One of the reason's I am here in Texas is for a Thirty-One party at my mom's house. I am pretty pumped about it, because the new catalog came out yesterday. And I am a sucker for a new pattern. It just makes me happy!

Minty Chip is my new favorite. It's so cute, and it goes with a lot of the other patterns.

The new Spirit Collection is going to be so fun! They are solid colored bags that you can personalize to cheer on your favorite team. I may have already ordered one to cheer on the Rangers this season...

This is the other new pattern, Black Happy Dot. I'm pretty happy about this one too!

Thirty-One Open House

The week before we left, I held my first Thirty-One Open House. Of course, that day it chose to POUR down rain, but my friends were so wonderful to come out and support me. I was nervous, but I ended up having so much fun. My mom (with crutches and a wheelchair after surgery) made most of the food, and my friend Kim came to help, too.

I had a "Mystery Hostess" party. Basically, everyone who came got entries in a drawing and at the end of the night I drew a winner. That winner got to be the hostess for the evening. My friend Misty won, and she ended up with some really great free items...boxes worth. It was a great night hanging out with friends and figuring out what I'm doing. So far, I'm having so much fun!

(Oh, and the 31 Edible Arrangement is from my mom. It cracked me up, but it was so pretty and delicious!)

Thirty-One Thursday: The Pink Box

I got my fun pink box full of Thirty-One goodness last week, and I have had a lot of fun going through and checking out some of the products. Some of them I already had, and some are new to me, but all are in fun new patterns!

Thirty-One Gifts

Whew...it's been a whirlwind week around here! I have embarked on a new adventure, and it has me excited and busy and, well, running around like a crazy person. I have just signed up to become an Independent Consultant with Thirty-One gifts. Whoo hoo!

Now, I'm not going to lie to you. For those of you who don't know me in real life, my personality doesn't exactly scream "confident and outgoing." I mean, I'll talk your ear off once I get to know you, but I think people who don't know me well may assume I don't have a personality at all.

So...why Thirty-One? Well, first, I LOVE their products. Bags and purses? Organization and cuteness? Yes, please! Second, as many of you know since I discuss it here, Mike and I are in the process of adopting our second baby. All the money I make from this new little adventure will be going to fund this adoption. So, I am definitely excited to give this new business of mine a try!

Although I will not be "advertising" a lot here on my blog, I will be posting from time to time about ways I use Thirty-One products in my own home. Feel free to share if you have any favorites of your own!
