Addie and Emmie at Nine Months

Addie and Emmie on February 20th you turned nine months old!

Emmie you are are 18.6 pounds and 27 and 3/4 inches tall.

Addie you are 18 pounds and 27 3/4 inches tall.

You are both doing better at sitting up! Addie you are sitting up all by yourself, and Emmie you are doing it with a bit of help every now and then.

Emmie

Emmie you are pulling up onto your knees like you are about to take off crawling. Addie you are starting to try to army crawl just a tiny bit. Mostly ya'll still roll anywhere you want to go.

Emmie you started shaking your head "no," and not long after Addie did too. Sometimes I think you know what it means, and sometimes I think you do it just to be funny.

Addie

Addie you like to wiggle when someone sings to you or you hear music. Emmie does it a bit too, but Addie you really get into it.

Emmie you repeat/mimic everything you hear.

We switched to cheerios from puffs. You are both fans.

You are both starting to seem like such big girls!

Pirates and Princesses

On Valentine's Day my mom came into town and we took the boys to see the Disney Junior Live Pirate and Princess show. I had been looking forward to taking them for months, and we had so much fun. The boys really seemed to enjoy themselves (I'm sure all the souvenirs Mimi bought helped), and  it was fun to see how much they liked it. Max talked about it for a long time and still wears his "Jake hair" often. He was enthralled the whole time, and Ben enjoyed it too, although he got a little restless toward the end. That's what popcorn is for!

Valentine's Day

February

1. Max found a suit in his closet and wanted to "dress like daddy." 

2. Ben was looking rather dapper that day too. And he thinks posing for pictures is hilarious. 

3. Girl time on mommy's bed

4. Emmie isn't as enthused about these veggies as you would think.

5. Neither is Addie.

6. Max thinks he's pretty cool in his Mickey hat.

7.He likes Emmie to look cool too.

8. It's like a wrestling match around here constantly. It doesn't seem to bother them though.

15. I laid Addie out on a blanket, came back, and she had wrapped herself up like a burrito.

19. Emmie has learned the art of scooting backwards.

20. Ben. He was in trouble, but when he saw my phone he was all smiles. Cheese ball.

Addie and Emmie at Eight Months

Addie and Emmie, on January 20th you turned eight months old! You are both doing more and more every day. It's so funny how even though we have been through all the "firsts" twice before, I get so excited every time you do something new or I see you figure something out.

Emmie

Here is a little bit about the both of you at eight months!

Addie

You are both turning into rolling machines. You have mastered getting where you want to go by rolling around...but you still don't sit up. Maybe someday...

Emmie

You both love puffs. I find most of them in the bottom of your highchairs after a meal, but you work really hard to get them in your mouths.


Addie

You have both tried some interesting foods (ahem...cheese balls), because your brother (ahem...Ben) really likes to share with you.


Emmie

You both still like to be out and about. Everyone always comments about how happy y'all are!

No teeth yet...


Emmie

You are still taking three naps and five bottles a day.

You would much rather play with your brothers' toys than your own.


Addie

You both still love to swing. I can't wait to go to the park when the weather warms up!
