Progressive Dinner

Every year the girls in our youth group have a Christmas progressive dinner, and this year the girls and I hosted a group for appetizers. It was so much fun, and I think the girls were kind of in awe of all the "big girls" at our house!

Max's Christmas Party

Max had his pre-K Christmas party (way back in December), and Mike and I were both able to go. It was adorable, and Max had the BEST time. I love experiencing all these things for the first time!

Favorite Things Party the Second

At the beginning of December, I hosted the second annual Favorite Things Party for my friends. We had just as much fun as last year, and I can't wait to do it again...and again...and again.

I kept the decor super simple.

As in, I pulled candy canes and cookie cutters out of the cabinet simple.

I found this "color on" tablecloth at Target and had to grab it. Who doesn't like to color?

I had a little hot chocolate bar...and took eleventy thousand pictures of it.

And no party is complete without a photo booth...

I had to demonstrate how to use my favorite thing...The turby twist hair wrap.

The after party...the kiddos really got into the tablecloth. This is about 2 minutes before they all ended up on top of the table.

Christmas 2014

A better title for this post would be, "Random photos from December." This December was super busy, but we managed to have a lot of fun and celebrate the Christmas season together. I managed to snap some photos along the way to remember...even if they are super random.

This year we did a Jesse Tree with the kids. There are many different ways to do one, but basically there are 25 ornaments that take you through the major stories of the Bible that lead to the birth of Christ. We had a great time doing it, and I hope to continue every year.

Here is our tree all done.

 Random Christmas decor

The only nativity I put out this year. I have a feeling the others would have been broken very quickly!

 Addie and her Christmas bear.
I think she kinda looks like she's in a sleigh...ha!

 Brothers and Christmas jammies

Mac's first Christmas concert. He did really well watching. He made it about halfway through before he started pretending to play hockey.

 Santa came!

We drove to Texas on Christmas Day, so we didn't have a lot of food options. We grabbed some cheese sticks and crackers at this gas station. Little did we know we all were coming down with the flu, so this is about the extent of pictures I took for the next week or so. It was so crazy!
