Life Lately

Fall and the busyness that comes with it seems to be in full swing around here. The boys are loving school, we have been busy busy on the weekends, and I can't wait for all things pumpkin. I don't know why, but pumpkins just make me so happy. I just found gold glittered pumpkins at Walmart for $1, and they came home with me stat. Gold glitter and pumpkins are two of my very favorite things, so I basically felt morally obligated to purchase them. Or maybe that's overstating it, but probably not. I mean...

Cute right? Or maybe it's just me.

Also...Max is super passionate about his birthday countdown. Only four days until he turns 5. Mike took him camping with some friends this weekend, and he was so excited I thought he would burst. They hiked, cooked smores, and they even learned all about snakes (and pet some). I mean...I'm devastated I wasn't there. #notreally

That's one excited (almost) five-year-old right there!

Meanwhile...I held down the fort with the youngest three. We managed to have a good time, but they were all glad when Max got back. I think they asked where he was about 1.5 billion times.

Emmie hamming it up with me. I am finding out that toddler girls are quite...dramatic. And by dramatic I mean they can scream really loud.

Exhibit One:

Emmie wasn't feeling this picture. She felt like she wasn't given an adequate spot in the line up.

Exhibit Two:

By the time she got over it everyone else was...well...over it. She wasn't too thrilled. Such is life.

Weekend Round Up

All ready for the day...Emmie was all about it.

Addie wasn't really feeling picture time.

Max and Mommy date at the local bakery. He was a fan.

A trip to Walmart, and this guy left with an umbrella. He's been pretty attached to it ever since. The boys were making some noise after bedtime this weekend so Mike went to go check on them. Max was just sitting in bed with his umbrella open over his head. It's important to always be prepared, I guess.

Addie took control of our neighbor's stroller.

 Emmie playing twin mom.

I'm working on ponytails. Addie is getting there.

I was proud of Mike for finding $1 at Walmart, so I made him take a picture.

Why have 1 bow when you can have 4?

Max thought he probably needed to get in on the bow action too.

Ben enjoying a cupcake. You know...because cupcakes.

Valentine's Day 2015

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a fun birthday party to go to on the big day. We had lots of fun...especially with the green icing.

Where did November go?

So I got a little (a lot) behind on blogging in the month of November. We had a few bouts with croup, a few colds, lots of busyness and a whole lot of crazy. Looking back, I didn't even really take that many pictures. Here are the few that I did take...

He wants to do anything and everything his brother does...including accessorizing.

The girls ready for the Baylor/OU game. Their cuteness totally led us to victory.

Love this pic...Addie right, Emmie left

No words needed.

I think that's my sleeve...awesome.

This would be when I had a small get together at my house that resulted in 16 kids being in a very small area. Hilarity ensued.

You know...that time some horses escaped from the farm behind us and roamed the neighborhood.

Sweet boy ready for church...

Ben loves formula. Mostly because it gies him direct access to snacks.

Cheese. It's almost impossible to get him to sit still without a paci.

Mmmm...chocolate peanut butter.

Date night with mommy. He picked out avengers washi tape at the store. Now he has gone back to wearing footed pajamas so he can store it in his pants leg, and I find things he has "fixed" all over the house.

Splish Splash

Max got a fun new toy this summer, and we have had a lot of fun playing with it. It's pretty big, but that crazy boy is up to the challenge! He may have jumped over the side of the slide into the pool once or twice. We definitely have to watch him! All of our neighbors have been able to come play on it, which has been great. Max loves other kids...I can't wait for Ben to be big enough to play with him. I'm sure they will be hilarious. Thanks, grandpa, for helping us get such a fun slide!
