Fort Worth Zoo Day

While we were in Texas my sister and I took my kiddos to the Fort Worth Zoo.We had a great time, and Max especially enjoyed seeing a different zoo...and getting a new zoo map. He is all about the zoo map, people. I am about 99 percent sure that he is going to be a cartographer when he grows up. Mike thinks he's going to be a play-by-play announcer, so we'll see which of us is right. Max says he's going to be "an expert" like his daddy when he grows up and and a firefighter like our neighbor.

(Just for the record...when he says expert he totally means pastor...but expert is way more funny.)

Max said he wanted to wear his hat to the zoo so people would think he was think he was a Texas Ranger farmer.

He looks so concerned in this picture because he said taking a picture would wake up the alligator.

Aunt Hailey and all the kiddos. They had a huge bug exhibit at the zoo, which was really fun. And when I say "huge exhibit" I mean the bugs were huge. Obviously.

The second we hit the exit this kid was asleep. Like a switch.

This is how asleep he was. He didn't even flinch when we loaded him in the car.
It was a great day!

Random Pictures from Texas

After my sister's graduation we headed back to Dallas to stay with my mom and see family for awhile. It is not exactly the easiest thing to be away from home for two weeks with four small children, but we managed to have some fun even if it was a little crazy!

Aunt Hailey Graduates

A couple days after Easter we packed up and headed to Galveston to see my sister graduate from nursing school. We went a few days early, and despite the stomach virus running rampant through eight people in two conjoined hotel rooms, we managed to have a good time. My poor sister managed to catch the bug from my kids the actual day of graduation, but she made it across the stage. We are so proud of you Aunt Hailey!

The girls had never been in a pool, and they sure enjoyed it!

We stayed at Moody Gardens, so one morning we headed over to the aquarium. The boys had a blast.

I made all the kids shirts that said "Relax. My Aunt's a Nurse"
Unfortunately, two of them got ruined right after this picture.

Emmie was not a fan of real milk. Ha!

My mom made cute decorations for the table. Including medicine cups of M&Ms.

Easter 2014

Easter weekend was full of activities at church and with friends, and we had a fabulous time.
We started off the weekend with a Good Friday evening service at church. I caught a few pictures of the boys in their classroom before the service began.

Saturday we headed up to church for a family fun day. We had a great time playing games that taught us about Jesus and what He did for us when he died on the cross. Of course we had a little bounce house fun and a snack too!

At what age does the "I can't smile because I hurt my knee two weeks ago and just can't focus right now" stage end?

 E left, A right

Sunday morning we headed to church for a great morning of worship, then headed home to eat with some of our neighbors/friends and have a little egg hunt. Like I said...it was a great weekend!
