Church Days

I was able to head back to church with the girls the week after their two month shots. I snapped a couple of pictures of them before we headed out the door. I have made the decision that I am going to have to get over getting the perfect shot...especially on Sunday mornings. But I think the subjects of the pictures make up for a lack of photographic ability...that's a thing right?

On July 20, Adeline and Emerson turned 2 months old!

 Here are a few things about them at 2 months...

Addie

Addie, at your 2 month appointment you weighed 10 lbs 2 oz and you were 21 and 3/4 inches.

Emmie

  Emmie, at your 2 month appointment you weighed 10 lbs 2 oz and you were 22 inches.

You both started giving us a few smiles.

You both still wear newborn cloths, but you are starting to move up into 3 month cloths. 

You wear size 1 diapers.

Emmie

Right at about the 2 month mark you started making it from about 10:00 at night to anywhere between 4:30 and 6:00 in the morning. Usually one of you will wake up and we'll have to wake the other up. You take turns waking up first.

Addie

You both like the big swing, but we only have one so you take turns. 

Neither of you like the travel swing, so at least you are in agreement on that!

Ben's Cowboy Party...the details

A Texas girl by birth, I had lots of fun planning Ben's cowboy party. (Yes, I realize that there are cowboys places other than Texas...but since everyone thinks we ride horses to school there we may as well embrace it!) Sidenote: one of my students once rode a horse to school as a senior prank. It was all fun and games until I saw him walking the horse home in 100 degree weather later that day. 

Anyhow...moving on... 

I love party planning, and I started months ago searching and gathering ideas for this party. I tried to keep it simple and use lots of pre-made decorations since we have two newborns in the house these days. It helped that we used to have a western themed room in our house. Like I said...Texas. Here are TONS of pictures of the big day. I may have a problem.
