Field Trip Time with Max and Ben

This week we headed back to Cedar Hill Farm for Max and Ben's field trip. It had rained all week, so it was as muddy this time as it was dusty when we went the first time! A little mud never stopped us though, and we had a great time. I had a great time spending the morning with the boys, and they had a great time spending the morning with their friends.

I couldn't decide which of these shots I liked better, so I posted both.

Max and his 4K class. He will always be one of the oldest in his class because of his birthday.

This sweet boy had a blast on his first field trip...and he totally posed himself.

Ben's 3K class. He will always be one of the youngest in his class...ha!

Max decided maybe he shouldn't be so happy about being a thief...

Cedar Hill Farm 2015

Last week we made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch at Cedar Hill Farm. It was supposed to rain all weekend, so my mom and I took them while Mike was at work on a Thursday. I think this was our first year to go without a stroller, and I'm not gonna lie...in some ways it was nice. Sometimes I worry that they are growing up so fast, but I really enjoying getting to do more with them as they get older!

Brotherly Love!

I love these sweet girls and their prom pose!

Addie and Max were our brave ones when it came to feeding the animals, but A still wasn't 100% about the whole thing.

Max and Ben rode the ponies...the girls not so much.

Fantabulous Fall Fun

We are in full swing Fall mode around here!

Max celebrated community helper day at school, and he chose to be a police officer.

After six years here, Mike and I finally made it to a football game! It was homecoming, so I had to give him a hard time about being homecoming king at his school back in the day...

Costume Party Fun

One of our neighborhood friends celebrates her birthday in October, and this year she had a costume party. It was the perfect way to celebrate and get a little more use out of our costumes! Max and Ben are Transformers Rescue Bots this year (Bumblebee and Chase), and we had two Elsa's as well. It was pretty adorable when we put the costumes on them, and they immediately started singing Let it Go.

Max took his costume very seriously. That salute was serious business.

Two more of our friends in the neighborhood teamed up with us to be Rescue Bots as well. We got a shot with Optimus Prime, but we'll have to get the whole group on Halloween.

Addie really wanted to be Elsa the Bumblebee...I think she would have preferred a Rescue Bot costume too!

Toddler (I mean Baby) Dedication Sunday

Most people sign up for baby dedication Sunday when their children are babies. We took a different route this time around. We put it off a couple times thinking we would figure out a time when at least some of our family could be here, but it never happened and poof...the girls were two. I am pretty sure there is a reason churches don't do toddler dedication...and we have the pictures to prove it. I think people in our church are still talking about it. The good news is we had a couple other families up there with us who had toddler siblings, so we weren't the only ones having a free for all on the stage. In the end, though, it was a fabulous day, and I am thankful for our church family who let's us be ourselves in this crazy season of life!
