It's been a slow blogging week here at The McLife. Really, it's been a slow blogging summer. I did want to give you an update on my dad. I should have taken a picture of him using his walker when I was over there a few days ago, but I forgot. I'll get him next time (did anyone else just think of Inspector Gadget?).
So far, it looks like he's doing really well. He went home after 8 days in the hospital, and he has been hobbling around just a little bit on his walker. For the most part, I think he's been chillin' in the recliner watching Bones and NCIS (it's a hereditary trait). There is a small spot on his leg that the doctor's are watching carefully to make sure it's okay. The back of his leg kind of looks like a map of train tracks, but that's good because he loves trains.
Now, we just have to wait for him to start another round of chemo. And pray that the surgery got all the cancer! Thanks for all your prayers!
On the blogging front, with fall coming I suspect I will have lots more things to write about. Pumpkins, cooler weather, football. Okay probably not that last one. But the possibilities are endless.
You crack me up. And we don't just watch Bones and NCIS, although those are my favorites and they're greatly influencing my next career direction, we have also watched Tommy Boy twice and the "fart scene" in Employee of the Month too many times to count!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA! He loves trains?! You are funny. I bet Caleb would love to come over and play trains on his leg. You think your dad would be okay with that?!
